Kawasaki Racing Team rider Tom Sykes is continuing to ride in the championship form shown during his 2012 title run by setting the fastest lap during this week’s World Superbike testing in Jerez, Spain. Sykes, who had a season-best nine pole positions out of 14 rounds last season, put the field on notice with his 1’40.5 lap on qualifying tires.
Sykes: “We were able to test very constructively. Both days have been very valuable and I would like to thankthe team and Kawasaki because our test schedule has been very good and all the time we have been moving forward…Overall I am happy to have achieved what we have achieved and am looking forward to the next test at Phillip Island.”
